Bring Down The Barriers is a campaign to lobby local Councils to provide more parking facilities for motor homers in local towns & villages. Currently many car parks have height barriers and inadequate parking spaces which are alienating motorhomes and forcing them to use large supermarket car parks to stay and shop.
Our campaign is to lobby local councils to provide better parking facilities so that motor homers will use local shops, thus helping the local economy.
Statistics provided by the NCC and Visit Britain show that:
- The motorhome industry contributes around £6 Billion to the UK economy.
- Employs in excess of 90,000 people
- Over 164,000 motorhomes in the UK
- Thousands more Europeans would visit the UK if it was more Motorhome friendly.
Let's be vocal and keep it local!
